Nancy’s experience includes many years in business and facilities management operations, information technology and human resource development. A longstanding member of the organization, she is recognized as one of the cornerstones in its continued growth and development. Nancy oversees the day-to-day operations of Soundview’s commercial brokerage division which encompasses maintaining client relations, developing the skills of new brokers, overseeing all broker activities, and coordinating various sales and marketing programs. Further, demonstrating her role in the company’s Quality Control/Quality Assurance initiatives, is her development of core policies and procedures, and motivating the staff in the adherence to these standards of operations.

the singular focus of creating appeal and demand. Hugh began his marketing career in 1980 as an Asistant Account Executive with Colarossi, Grisworld - Eshleman in New York City. In 1982 Hugh joined Grey Advertising Worldwide and over the next decade steadily climbed Grey's account management ranks to the positions of Vice President,
Group Management Supervisor, responsible for developing and directing international marketing / advertising programs for numerous Fortune 500 companies.
Mark Walsh Director of Acquisitions
Mark brings over twenty five years of real estate and finance acumen to every acquisition he makes on behalf of Soundview Realty Group, Inc., its investors and joint venture partners. It begins with his ability to identify and evaluate underdeveloped or underutilized properties recognizing risk profiles and investment objectives for retail, office, industrial and multifamily projects. Mark’s extensive real estate experience dates back to 1980 when he joined Chemical Bank’s (NYC) asset based lending department and rapidly ascended to the position of Vice President, Real Estate. He then joined Continental Insurance, Inc. as Director of Financial Risk / Real Estate and held that position prior to joining Soundview in 1992.
Deborah Ongania
Deborah is a licensed real estate broker with more than 25 years of varied sales and asset management experience. Having worked for many of those years in single family and condo sales, and multifamily housing management, her background brings a discerning knowledge of property value, especially in residential income producing properties. Asset preservation, risk management, capital improvement plans, revenue growth, expense management, marketing, training and due diligence are second nature to her. She has won several distinguished industry awards related to increasing the value of residential income producing properties.
John Kalin
As a Senior Account Executive at Soundview Realty Group, John Kalin lends over 17 years of experience across all facets of the commercial real estate industry. He began at Soundview as a Commercial Sales and Leasing Agent brokering commercial/industrial, medical and retail properties throughout Suffolk County. His knowledge and abilities quickly advanced him to a broader role which also encompassed property management. By the mid-90s, he had been promoted to Account Executive with in-depth involvement in sales, leasing and property management, from bidding contracts and managing rent rolls to handling tenant inquiries. The list of properties under his management also expanded to include office buildings, retail properties and condominium/HOA communities. In 2000, John was named Senior Account Executive. Today, in his extended property management/asset management role, he manages a portfolio of many properties from commercial and retail to mixed-use and investment properties. He is actively involved in the acquisition and development of new properties and repositioning and retrofitting of existing properties. Serving in a project management capacity on these projects, he assumes complete responsibility for the construction, development and marketing of these properties. In addition to his role at Soundview, he is a Licensed Associate Broker with Prudential CRES Commercial Real Estate and a Principal with Prudential Stratton Properties, which markets commercial properties and upscale vacation/second homes in New England. Mr. Kalin holds a Bachelor of Science in Education from Fredonia State University and a Master’s from Stony Brook University. He is a member of the Commercial Industrial Brokers Society and the International Council of Shopping Centers. An active member of the community, he is an annual participant in the “Relay for Life” to benefit cancer research and supports local not-for-profits including Mather Hospital and Cornell Extension Cooperative. He resides in Miller Place with his wife and family.
Brian McCabe Account Executive
Brian has been part of the Soundview team for the past five years. He came to our company with experience in retail management. Licensed as a real estate agent, Brian specializes in both sales and leasing of commercial properties. Understanding the market and the value of properties is another skill set he brings to the table. Brian’s educational background in graphic design and technology are testaments to his management style. He has a keen sense of the visual aspects of property management. The properties he manages always have a pristine curb appeal adding to the marketability and value of the asset. Brian’s helpful nature makes him a favorite among his clients. Technically he offers computer skills unmatched by most of his peers. Brian has experience in multi-family, condominium, and coop management and is trained in commercial property as well. Brian has strong communication skills and has successfully stabilized properties through his management style.
Mike Maffettone Account Executive
Mike, while new to Soundview is certainly not new to the Real Estate industry. Mike is achievement oriented and has the record to prove it. Prior to joining Soundview, he was nominated by “Realtor Magazine” as one of the “Top 30 under 30”; quite a feather in his cap. Performance is second nature to him as his sales and management abilities were recognized regularly. Mike managed over 30 people, excelled in customer service and has extensive computer skills. Mike’s educational background includes a degree in business management, licenses in life and health Insurance, real estate and at one time held a license as a stock broker. Mike is actively seeking property management opportunities; and is qualified to manage both commercial and residential properties.
Joseph Dempsey General Counsel
Joe provides legal counsel and services to the company’s various commercial holdings and transactions. He brings over three decades of legal experience serving in the commercial and residential real estate industry
